DMCA Policy / Copyright Policy
Last Updated: February 17, 2026
101bt.com (the "Site") is a search engine that indexes publicly available metadata from the BitTorrent DHT network. We do not host, store, upload, download, distribute, or control any files, torrents, or content. All information displayed on the Site is derived from decentralized, user-generated data in the public domain, similar to how a general search engine indexes web content. We respect intellectual property rights and comply with applicable laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") of 1998, to the extent it applies to our operations as a mere indexer of public information.
However, because we do not host or control the underlying content, we cannot remove or disable access to the actual files or distributions. Magnet links and metadata are publicly broadcast in the BitTorrent network by third parties, and we merely provide a search interface for this public data. Copyright holders are encouraged to pursue the original distributors or peers sharing the content directly through the magnet links, rather than seeking action against us as a neutral indexer. We do not remove search results or metadata from our index in response to takedown notices, as doing so would not affect the availability of the content in the network and could undermine our role as a comprehensive public search tool.
If you believe that content indexed on our Site infringes your copyright, you may submit a notification as described below. We will review such notifications for completeness but, given the nature of our service, may not take further action beyond acknowledging receipt.
1. Designated DMCA Agent
To file a copyright infringement notification with us, please contact our designated DMCA agent at [email protected]
2. Requirements for Copyright Infringement Notifications (Takedown Notices)
To be effective, your notification must be in writing and include the following elements, as required by 17 U.S.C. ยง 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., the specific search query or magnet link URL on our Site).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Notifications that do not comply with these requirements may not be processed.
3. Our Response to Notifications
Upon receipt of a valid notification, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt via email (if provided).
- Review the claim to confirm it relates to content we can address. Since we do not host files, we cannot remove the underlying content from the internet.
- Advise you to contact the actual distributors or peers via the magnet link, as they are the parties controlling the distribution. Tools like BitTorrent clients can help identify IP addresses of sharers for further legal action.
- In our discretion, we may choose not to alter our index, as the metadata is public and removing it from our Site does not prevent access elsewhere.
We disclaim any liability for the content indexed on the Site and do not guarantee any specific action in response to notifications.
4. Counter-Notifications
If you believe that your content was mistakenly identified in a copyright infringement notification, you may submit a counter-notification. To be effective, it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled (if applicable).
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.
We will forward valid counter-notifications to the original complainant. Note that submitting a counter-notification may lead to legal proceedings.
5. Repeat Infringers
As the Site does not involve user accounts or uploads, we do not have a policy for terminating repeat infringers. All indexed content is from third-party sources over which we have no control.
6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, legality, or non-infringement of any content indexed on the Site. You agree that we shall not be liable for any damages arising from copyright claims related to the Site's content. This includes, but is not limited to, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
By using the Site, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for third-party content and that copyright enforcement should be directed at the source distributors.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on the Site with the updated date. Your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
8. Contact Us

This Policy is intended to provide transparency but does not create any contractual or legal rights beyond those required by law. We recommend consulting a legal professional for advice on copyright matters.
